There is a new wind blowing. It is a strong wind
from the North. It will captivate your fingers. There is a new sound on
the horizons. You'll not read it in a book, but you'll hear it in your
heart and the Spirit of the Lord says, "Open up your minds. Do not rely
on past performance. Open up your heart. For out of your heart will
come the issues of My life and when you play and when you sing the
world will not understand but they will begin to be drawn closer. For
music that represents me is catching to the world. No longer do you
have to pattern your sounds after the world. The world will begin to
pattern their sounds after you. For it is not by might or by power but
it is of My Spirit says the Lord of Hosts.

There is a definite need to continually develop
our worship and music. Without development, our expression can become
stale and predictable, and lose some of its impact. |

I have been leading worship in
The Community Church for a couple of years now, and generally it has
been going very well, thanks to God and His Holy Spirit. This passage
describes some of the things I learnt a while ago when I was asked to
lead the band at the joint celebration meeting. These happen roughly
every two months, and are a time when the three congregations which
make up our church meet together. |

David's harp had a significant impact upon the
court of King Saul. This gifted composer and musician was able to go
beyond what many talented musicians achieve. His music, though
undoubtedly entertaining and exhilarating to the senses, possessed a
unique and penetrating quality—it touched the innermost being of the
listener—it reached into the very spirit of his audience.
